Viral Topic: The Changing Dynamics of Work-Life Balance: "We don't have the luxury, I call it a luxury that maybe my parents had back in the 1960s, 1970s, where my mum stayed at home raising three children. My father went off to work. Even though it was tight, they could afford to have one owner and one permanent house person. But women want to work, women want to work, women want their place in life."

Dariya Krasnova

Dariya Krasnova

Viral Parenting Debate: "one of the reasons people are growing up into adulthood with more anxiety, with more stress, with more poor mental health, is we haven't maybe spent enough time as a younger person with our parents, with our mum, learning resilience, learning about failure, learning about things not working where people are maybe being brought up in a world now where things have to work first time or someone's going to fix it for you"

Dariya Krasnova

Viral Topic: "Is Our DNA Just Computer Code?": Yeah, I'm, I'm a great believer that our DNA is effectively just a computer code. And you know, if you look at most computer programmes, computer code, it has core blocks as a beginning, a middle and end, it has subroutines, it has this. So it's not surprising that our core code, if you like, is very related to other living organisms that are based on a carbon based ecosystem. So we're all going to be processing oxygen, light. If we were silicon based culture, we would have different ways of processing things. But fundamentally, because we're all growing up in a very similar ecosystem, our DNA and how we process things in this planet is going to be very similar. So, yeah, I completely, completely agree. And all our, all our programming is doing is telling how our atoms and molecules and, and, and, and cells in our body, how to configure themselves.

Dariya Krasnova

Viral Topic: The Power of Self Awareness in Emotional Intelligence: "You cannot influence yourself until you become aware of who you are and all those dynamics."

Dariya Krasnova

Dariya Krasnova

Timeless Family Bonds: "But that's the hard thing about family is because those bonds are not transient. They're kind of our social construct of family is that these bonds are permanent."

Pain Points and Challenges

1 / 1

Certainly! Drawing directly from the podcast transcript, here’s a focused list of specific pain points and challenges highlighted during the conversation between [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) and [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B): ### Pain Points & Challenges 1. **Over-Reliance on Western Medicine** - Society leans excessively on pharmaceutical solutions, often neglecting prevention and holistic alternatives. This has led to more symptomatic treatment rather than addressing root causes, with a rise in chronic medication use and declining overall health. 2. **Lifestyle-Induced Health Issues** - High consumption of processed foods, sedentary habits, persistent stress, and lack of meaningful relaxation have contributed to a spike in obesity, poor mental health, and chronic conditions. 3. **Disintegration of Community Support and Social Bonds** - Modern life, with dual-income households and time constraints, has eroded the traditional support systems of families and communities, which previously nurtured resilience and wellbeing. 4. **Labeling and Self-Limitation (Especially around Neurodiversity)** - Individuals sometimes use labels—such as neurodiverse conditions—as shields, potentially stifling personal growth, integration, and self-kindness. There is also a lack of awareness about the impact of lifestyle on neurodiversity and trauma. 5. **Challenges with Authenticity and Belonging** - Integration into new cultures and forming a sense of belonging can be fraught with stereotyping, assumptions, and the emotional baggage of past trauma, affecting self-acceptance and societal cohesion. 6. **Toxicity of Social Media and Superficial Connection** - Online platforms can promote inauthenticity, comparison, and judgement, making genuine human connection and self-worth harder to cultivate. 7. **Personal Responsibility and Victimhood** - There’s a noted hesitation to take personal responsibility for wellbeing, with many defaulting to victimhood, making necessary change less likely. --- ## Addressing These Pain Points: Strategies and Content Focus ### 1. **Empowering Prevention with Holistic Health** - Foster education around complementary and alternative therapies (as championed by [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B)), integrating holistic approaches with Western medicine to form comprehensive care plans. - Promote small, manageable lifestyle interventions: cooking from scratch, mindful eating, nature immersion, and reducing toxic exposures (e.g. processed foods, negative news). ### 2. **Rebuilding Community and Connection** - Facilitate initiatives for local community gatherings, peer support, and collaborative parenting—helping individuals find belonging, share resources, and build resilience. - Encourage storytelling (as modelled on Inclusion Bites), allowing people to share lived experiences and build empathy across backgrounds. ### 3. **Championing Authenticity and Self-Awareness** - Advocate for self-reflection on one’s passions, values, and unique strengths. Help individuals to write down and act on these principles, cultivating their authentic path. - Normalise self-compassion, encourage facing trauma and emotional challenges, and offer resources for personal development and healing. ### 4. **Promoting Emotional Intelligence and Personal Accountability** - Develop emotional intelligence skills: self-awareness, self-regulation, and open communication—equipping individuals to navigate relationships and societal challenges effectively. - Facilitate workshops, podcasts, and written resources that guide listeners through the process of auditing their life choices and behaviours. ### 5. **Tackling Toxicity in Online Spaces** - Build and recommend online communities that prioritise kindness, gratitude, genuine support, and avoid commercialised “one-size-fits-all” solutions. - Celebrate individual journeys, resist comparative culture, and encourage constructive dialogue and peer recognition. ### 6. **Integrating Science and Spirituality for Wellbeing** - Demystify concepts from quantum physics and epigenetics in accessible language to empower listeners about their potential for change and growth (“everything is energy, frequency, vibration”). - Encourage curiosity and experimentation—prompting people to seek out new modalities, habits, and mindsets for health and happiness. --- ## Closing Thought Every challenge raised in the episode ultimately beckons a shift towards curiosity, community, and conscious living. **Raising Vibrations Together: A Holistic Blueprint for Inclusion and Wellbeing** What if everything you believed about belonging, health, and happiness was missing one vital ingredient—energy? Would you dare to reimagine how we create inclusive, thriving communities? In episode 189 of The Inclusion Bites Podcast, “Raising Vibrations Together,” [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) hosts the inspired [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B), a holistic health advocate whose journey from Vladivostok to Glasgow reflects both profound resilience and the limitless power of human connection. This conversation invites listeners to question the boundaries of identity, integrate holistic wisdom into everyday life, and spark real change—both individually and collectively. ## The Agitating Problem: Fragmentation in Modern Society Why does it feel like, despite relentless efforts, we’re still falling short of true inclusion and wellbeing? [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B) points directly at the fragmentation plaguing modern society. We live in a world of artificial boundaries: nationality, language, postcode, even the labels of neurodiversity or sexual orientation. All too often, these boundaries morph from sources of pride or identity into barriers to genuine connection. Moreover, the modern pace of life—two-income households, overwhelming work hours, and relentless convenience—has spawned a reliance on processed foods and passive entertainment. The stats shared by [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) are stark: 70% of UK adults on prescribed drugs, and more than half consuming highly processed foods. Our environment, stress levels, and choices erode our physical and mental wellbeing, and by extension, our ability to foster inclusion. Yet, amidst all this, we’re losing the essence of community, personal agency, and self-care. Have we become so accustomed to survival—outsourcing childcare, fast-tracking nutrition, escaping into digital realms—that we've neglected our collective potential to heal, grow, and thrive? ## A Holistic Framework: Insights from [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B) Drawing on her lived experience across three cultures, [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B) rejects rigid identity boundaries. Instead, she champions the idea of being a “citizen of planet Earth,” underscoring that we are all interconnected—every atom in our bodies, every experience shared. For [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B), the antidote to fragmentation is a holistic approach rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. Central to her philosophy is quantum physics: the notion that everything is energy, frequency, and vibration. It’s not mere conjecture—science now shows that our thoughts, feelings, and even the food we eat profoundly shape our health and relationships. If we accept that change starts with the individual, what actionable steps might catalyse collective transformation? ### Actionable Insights for Raising Vibrations 1. **Audit Your Lifestyle** Begin with radical self-curiosity. What are your daily habits? Are you fueling your body with nourishing, whole foods or settling for convenience? [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B) emphasises the vital impact of mindful nutrition and urges us to educate ourselves on ingredient labels, seek fresh alternatives, and integrate cooking into our routine—even treating it as a form of meditation. 2. **Prioritise Rest and Connection with Nature** Too often, relaxation is dismissed as a luxury. Yet, meaningful rest and exposure to natural environments ground us physiologically and emotionally. [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B) recommends spending time—however brief—in nature, grounding our feet to the earth, and harnessing the healing properties of sunlight and fresh air. Even a ten-minute oasis in your garden or local park can recalibrate stress and foster wellbeing. 3. **Reflect on Your Consumption—Both Physical and Digital** Just as food affects our health, what we ingest mentally and emotionally shapes our worldview and resilience. [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) and [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B) caution against doom-scrolling news or absorbing negativity from social media. Instead, choose content that uplifts, educate, and don’t be afraid to disengage from that which saps your energy. 4. **Embrace Emotional Intelligence and Self-Awareness** Effective inclusion starts with self-awareness—the cornerstone of emotional intelligence. Inventory your values, passions, and talents. Write them down. How do these shape your interactions and community involvement? Self-regulation follows as you learn to respond with compassion, let go of anger, and remove yourself from toxic environments. 5. **Actively Cultivate Community and Authentic Relationships** [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B) warns against sheltering solely in identity-based “safety bubbles.” True integration occurs when we seek diverse perspectives, build new bonds, and accept that old relationships may evolve or fade. Don’t be afraid to nurture your chosen family, and recognise that letting go of unaligned relationships is a sign of growth. 6. **Integrate Holistic Modalities with Mainstream Healthcare** The vision behind [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B)’s forthcoming platform, Vibe Insight, epitomises collaboration—bridging holistic health with conventional medicine. Whether it’s complementary therapies like reiki for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, or mindfulness practices for stress relief, consider integrating such modalities into your self-care routines. The future is collaboration, not competition. ## The Solution: Raising Vibrations Together—A Collective Responsibility Where do we go from here? The answer, as [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B) and [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) assert, requires a paradigm shift. We must reclaim personal responsibility for our health, happiness, and inclusion—breaking free of victimhood and embracing the empowering truth that change begins within. Quantum physics and epigenetics now demonstrate our environments, thoughts, and choices shape our genes and futures. There is no greater advocacy than modelling authenticity, self-love, and positive energy in every interaction. For workplaces, this means fostering environments where diversity and neurodiversity are not only respected but actively supported. For families, it means renegotiating static, hurtful bonds, and allowing each member to evolve. For individuals, it’s the daily, sometimes uncomfortable work of healing from past trauma, releasing limiting beliefs, and relinquishing the myth of competition. ## Call to Action: Ignite Your Inclusion Journey Are you ready to disrupt the status quo, raise your vibration, and create inclusive communities that nurture every member? Begin where you are. Audit your life, challenge old beliefs, ground yourself in holistic practices, and connect with authentic souls. This focus keyword embodies both a call to action and a vision for transformative, Positive People Experiences that underpin sustainable culture change in our workplaces and broader society. My engaging dialogue with holistic health advocate Dariya Krasnova opens up the landscape where wellbeing, inclusion, and belonging are not abstract concepts but practical, lived experiences. Dariya brings her unique perspective—shaped by her cultural journey from Vladivostok, through Germany, and now Glasgow—underscoring the importance of identifying as a citizen of the world, not just a product of place or circumstance. We journey into the heart of Culture Change, interrogating both its urgency and its promise. What does it truly take to foster an environment where everyone is empowered to heal, grow, and contribute authentically? Our answer begins with recognising the inseparable links between physical health, mental resilience, emotional intelligence, and the simple yet profound acts of kindness that ripple through every interaction. Dariya’s story is a testament to the reality that sense of self and belonging are not fixed, but are continuously forged through new experiences, integration, and the willingness to challenge default labels. Her life reflects the modern, multicultural human who has learned not to overly define herself by race or nationality but by a universal commitment—a drive to accept, collaborate, and co-create. Our discussion peels back layers of rigidity often embedded in cultural and societal systems: Dariya posits, and I agree, that divisions—whether they be national, ethnic, neurodiverse, or gender-based—hold us back from co-creating genuinely inclusive communities. This episode unpacks how inclusion, grounded in Positive People Experiences, is not about dissolving difference but about consciously creating spaces that respect and celebrate it, thereby driving true Culture Change. We delve into holistic health as more than a buzzword. Dariya, with her profound knowledge and lived experience, challenges listeners to rethink their relationship with Western medicine, convenience lifestyles, and disempowering narratives around genetics and illness. She draws on the science of quantum physics and epigenetics, highlighting the interconnectedness of all things and the vast potential within each individual to shape their own reality and wellbeing. If you’ve ever wondered whether your environment, thoughts, and behaviours genuinely matter at a cellular level, this episode provides an evidence-backed affirmation. Practicality is woven through every insight. Dariya’s actionable advice centres around small, mindful changes—such as adjusting what you eat, embracing nature, tuning out from toxic media, and actively nurturing your body, mind, and soul. The resilience we seek as adults, she asserts, is rooted in our willingness to become self-aware, to move beyond a victim mentality, and to be curious about our values, behaviours, and relationships. We also discuss the shifting sands of family and friendship, exploring how bonds can be nurturing yet confining if not periodically re-evaluated. The episode offers powerful wisdom for anyone who has experienced loss or disconnection in the pursuit of authenticity. The message is clear: growth, whether personal or collective, depends on letting go of relationships and beliefs that no longer serve us or align with our evolving selves. Throughout, Positive People Experiences are championed—not just as add-ons but as non-negotiable elements at the heart of healthy, change-ready cultures. Dariya and I champion the courageous work of self-healing, forgiveness, and extending dignity even to those who may once have caused harm. This forum is not about surface-level positivity; it’s about brave conversations that equip you with practical strategies for resilience, wellbeing, and proactive inclusion. **Inclusion Bites** is more than just a podcast—each episode is a toolkit for listeners determined to disrupt the status quo, implement meaningful change, and nurture both themselves and the communities they inhabit. If you care about culture change, believe in the possibility of a more inclusive world, and crave actionable insights to create Positive People Experiences, this episode is essential listening. You’ll leave energised by the belief that “we are all one,” and equipped with the practical tools to foster this reality, one bold conversation at a time. --- ## Closing Summary and Call to Action This episode covers a profound journey through personal development, holistic wellbeing, and the operationalisation of Culture Change—all anchored in Positive People Experiences. Root Cause Analyst - Why!

1 / 1

Certainly. Here is a root cause analysis, based on the episode “Raising Vibrations Together” of the Inclusion Bites Podcast, featuring [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) and [Dariya Krasnova](/speakers/B), focusing on key societal and holistic health challenges identified: --- **Problem 1: Over-Reliance on Western Medicine and Declining Holistic Wellbeing** **1st Why:** Why do people increasingly rely on Western medicine rather than holistic approaches? - Because Western medicine is perceived as quick, authoritative, and immediately effective for symptoms, and people lack knowledge or access to integrative or preventative methods. **2nd Why:** Why do people lack knowledge or access to preventative and holistic methods? - Because education systems and mainstream health narratives promote pharmaceutical models, while complementary and lifestyle interventions are marginalised and difficult to access or trust. **3rd Why:** Why are holistic methods marginalised in mainstream narratives? - Because pharmaceutical and health industries dominate research, funding, and public health policy, resulting in structural bias towards clinical treatments. **4th Why:** Why do industries and institutions dominate health perceptions and policies? - Because economic incentives favour highly regulated, prescribable interventions, and regulatory frameworks for alternative therapies remain underdeveloped or inconsistent. **5th Why:** Why are regulatory frameworks for alternatives underdeveloped? - Because legislative priorities are influenced by established interests, and public demand is fragmented, resulting in lack of lobbying or comprehensive frameworks for holistic health. **Summary:** The root cause is a structurally reinforced, economically incentivised healthcare paradigm that eclipses preventative, holistic, and lifestyle-based approaches. The absence of rigorous frameworks stifles both practitioner credibility and public adoption. **Potential Solutions:** - Foster public education campaigns on holistic and preventative health modalities. - Advocate policy reform to legitimise and integrate evidence-based complementary therapies. - Support community-driven programmes to reconnect individuals to nutrition, well-being, nature, and emotional self-regulation. - Develop accessible, clear frameworks for safety, efficacy, and practitioner accreditation in holistic health. --- **Problem 2: Loss of Community and Social Isolation Affecting Well-Being** **1st Why:** Why are people experiencing greater social isolation and weakened community ties? - Because modern lifestyles are increasingly individualised, with dual-income households and fragmented support structures, leading to less time and energy for collective networks. **2nd Why:** Why are support structures fragmented and lifestyles individualised? - Because economic pressures, urbanisation, and cultural emphasis on competition drive people into busyness and transactional relationships. **3rd Why:** Why do economic and cultural factors fragment communities? - Because post-industrial societies prioritise productivity and consumption over collective responsibility, undermining community resilience. **4th Why:** Why is productivity prioritised over community resilience? - Because market-led policy and social narratives valorise independence and tangible achievements, neglecting the value of connectedness. **5th Why:** Why are narratives stuck in this paradigm? - Because there’s been insufficient challenge to these narratives; alternative measures of well-being, such as social capital and emotional intelligence, are not mainstream. **Summary:** The erosion of community and belonging is the outcome of economic, policy, and cultural narratives which prioritise individual gain, undermining social connectedness. **Potential Solutions:** - Reframe public discourse to value participation, volunteering, and collective mutual aid. - Incentivise community architecture and shared spaces. - Promote social and emotional education, particularly for children, to redress deficits in resilience and belonging. --- **Problem 3: Chronic Stress, Processed Food, and Declining Public Health** **1st Why:** Why is public health declining despite medical advances? - Because rates of chronic stress, poor nutrition, and lack of movement are rising due to busy, convenience-driven lifestyles. **2nd Why:** Why are busy, convenience lifestyles so prevalent and unhealthy? - Because economic and social structures demand long working hours, and convenience foods save time but contain poor nutrition. **3rd Why:** Why is there little time for self-care and healthy habits? - Because socio-economic systems normalise the expectation that both caregivers and providers should work, often with inadequate support for domestic, parenting, or health practices. **4th Why:** Why are expectations around work-life balance so unsupportive? - Because policy and workplace cultures remain focused on outputs, undervaluing the need for recuperation and holistic living. **5th Why:** Why are these outdated expectations sustained? - Because shifts towards sustainable work-life policies are slow, and there is little policy accountability for the population’s well-being as a practical outcome. **Summary:** Public health is undermined by systemic choices that normalise overwork, stress, consumption of processed food, and devaluation of self-care. **Potential Solutions:** - Advocate policy change towards flexible work, work-life balance, and decent living wages. - Fund public health campaigns prioritising nutrition, the value of sunlight, mindful movement, and practical resilience. - Equip communities with the knowledge and accessible options for healthy living, addressing societal obstacles, not just individual habits. --- In essence, these interconnected issues stem from structural and cultural paradigms prioritising speed, productivity, and tangibility over sustainability, relationship, and authenticity. Long-term improvement depends on recalibrating policy, culture, and education to centre holistic, inclusive, and human-first approaches.

**Raising Vibrations Together: Six Key Topics from My Conversation with Dariya Krasnova on Inclusive Cultures** *Meta Description: Dive into six essential topics from my chat with Dariya Krasnova, as we uncover the complexities of inclusive cultures, holistic health, and personal empowerment. Discover themes of belonging, neurodiversity, wellness, and more across cultures and communities.* At the heart of my latest conversation with Dariya Krasnova, we grappled with what it truly means to foster *inclusive cultures*—both in our individual lives and within wider society. Dariya’s story is one of globe-trotting integration, holistic healing, and quantum perspectives. Our dialogue took us from the nuances of national identity, through trauma-informed care, and into the vibrational essence of well-being. I’d like to share the six central threads that emerged—each one sparking curiosity about how we can better nurture belonging and positive people experiences in our communities. --- ### 1. *The Journey Across Borders: Building Inclusive Cultures through Belonging* When Dariya recalled her path from Vladivostok to Glasgow, it was clear that ideas of identity and belonging are anything but static. She described moving through cultures—Russian, German, and Scottish—and how she eventually saw herself not as defined by nationality, but as a "citizen of planet Earth." This led us to challenge those artificial boundaries we often place on ourselves. How much do we inherit from our backgrounds, and how much can we choose to grow beyond them? Dariya’s multi-cultural experience urged me to interrogate how inclusive cultures emerge—not through erasing specificity, but through celebrating and honouring roots while remaining open and dynamic. Where do you feel most at home, and do you think we can truly transcend our origins to find collective belonging? --- ### 2. *Holistic Health and Wellbeing: Empowering Communities to Thrive* Our conversation shifted to holistic health, where Dariya championed a view that wellness isn’t just individual—it’s deeply communal. Together with her fiancé, she’s building Vibe Insight: a platform to educate and empower people on holistic treatments, self-help, and vibrational healing. She advocated for integrating complementary and alternative therapies with Western medicine, explicitly rooting her vision in love, compassion, and authentic human connection. I was struck by the idea that true well-being in inclusive cultures recognises that every person’s path to health is unique and involves both physical and spiritual support. What simple change could you make to nurture your own wellbeing—and what role might community play in sustaining those changes? --- ### 3. *Quantum Perspectives: Energy, Frequency, and Vibrational Community* Dariya’s holistic approach is intertwined with quantum thinking—seeing everything as energy, frequency, and vibration. She shared how these ideas explain the "feel" of a room, and why human connection can boost or drain our energy. This science-backed spirituality proposes that each atom contains universal information, making us not merely physical beings but interconnected vibrational entities. I found it fascinating to consider: can shifting our own "frequency" truly ripple outwards and affect inclusive cultures at large? And are we underestimating the impact of emotional and energetic exchanges in the social spaces we inhabit? --- ### 4. *Health Challenges in Modern Society: The Problem of Convenience and Disconnection* The state of public health weighed heavily on our dialogue, with Dariya citing statistics on medication use and processed food consumption. She passionately described how our reliance on convenience, stress, and poor nutrition undermines genuine wellbeing. The increasing pace of life, erosion of supportive communities, and mounting neurodiversity challenges all speak to breakdowns in inclusive cultures. She queried whether our drive for efficiency—both at work and at home—has led us to neglect the foundational elements of belonging and mutual support. How do you navigate the tension between convenience and connection, and what might be gained from revisiting slower, more communal ways of living? Is the "conveyor belt" of modern life compatible with healthy, inclusive cultures? --- ### 5. *Neurodiversity, Trauma, and Personal Growth: Towards Compassionate Inclusion* A major theme was neurodiversity—not just as a label, but as a lived experience entangled with trauma, health, and social interaction. Dariya challenged the tendency to use neurodiverse identities as excuses, urging self-knowledge, responsibility, and kindness. She recounted examples where trauma influenced sexual orientation and called for greater compassion, understanding, and healing—emphasising that every individual’s journey is shaped by more than genes alone. I found myself pondering: How can we have more honest and supportive conversations that move beyond labels, fostering inclusive cultures which accommodate struggle and celebrate difference? Is there room for brave vulnerability in our daily lives? --- ### 6. *Personal Responsibility and Emotional Intelligence: The Heart of Inclusive Cultures* Our dialogue ultimately returned to emotional intelligence and personal accountability. We agreed that awareness of self, core values, and the ways we communicate are the starting points for transformation. True inclusion, we argued, comes when individuals invest in understanding who they are, regulate their own reactions, and consciously choose how to show up in the world. Letting go of limiting beliefs and toxic relationships is essential, even when it means parting ways with old friends or family expectations. Is it possible to cultivate deep self-awareness without a "crisis" moment, and can inclusive cultures support this ongoing growth? **Raising Vibrations, Healing Nations** Across a world of lands and seas, A tapestry of you and me— Authenticity, unseen threads, We lift each other, hearts and heads. From Russia’s edge to Glasgow’s rain, We redefine what roots remain. Not flags nor borders draw the lines, But how each soul uniquely shines. Foundations shaken—change the pace: Community and human grace. Amidst the rush, what do we lose? Our nature, spirit, power to choose. Convenience often takes the stage, While spirit waits beyond the cage. Yet in each atom, depth is found: We’re energy, not simply ground. Let go of labels, caste, constraint, Nor let old wounds new stories paint. With self-love sown, compassion grows— From pain, a kinder wisdom flows. Heal trauma’s echo, own your start, And find resilience in the heart. Grow gardens where connections thrive, Let chosen families help us rise. Be mindful what you eat and do, And how your daily thoughts renew. Reject the noise, embrace the wild, Tune frequency for every child. We flourish best when slow and kind, Leaving no hurting friend behind. In every challenge, see a door And step with courage to restore. So share this wisdom, pause and see: You’re not alone—this journey’s we. Subscribe for more, reflect and dare, And ripple change—invite, declare. —with thanks to Dariya Krasnova for a fascinating podcast episode

Here’s a flavour of what we covered: - **Rethinking Belonging:** Dariya shares her journey from Vladivostok (Russia) to Glasgow, passing through Germany—highlighting how her multinational, multicultural path shaped her view: “I kind of don't consider myself to belong to any race or nationality. I’m just thinking myself as a citizen of planet Earth.” It’s a reminder that our anchors may change, but our yearning for belonging remains constant. - **Holistic Wellbeing:** We dug into holistic health—how caring for the mind, body, and spirit can be a revolutionary act in cultures that prioritise speed and productivity over true human flourishing. - **Quantum Perspectives:** Dariya sheds light on embracing vibrational energy and quantum concepts to foster human connection—a reminder that our humanity is intricately linked, both scientifically and spiritually. - **Challenges of Integration:** From adjusting to new languages and regional dialects to navigating the complexities of belonging as an immigrant, Dariya’s story is emblematic of the deeper adaptive and empathetic skills D&I professionals must nurture in themselves and their teams. - **Societal Traps:** We discuss how the pressures of modern life—particularly the over-reliance on convenience, highly processed foods, and digital isolation—impact not only our personal health but our ability to show up compassionately for others. This episode is tailored not just for those leading DEI initiatives, but for every HR professional, D&I champion, Talent and Recruitment specialist, and L&D practitioner seeking practical approaches to cultivate thriving, genuinely inclusive workplaces. --- ## Wisdom from Dariya Krasnova: Anchoring Wellbeing in Inclusion Dariya’s contribution throughout this dialogue is as refreshing as a walk in the Scottish Highlands—rooted in experience, laced with nuance and compassion. Her superpower, as she describes, is “championing others’ authenticity and curiosity to foster real human connection and change.” If you ever felt like your efforts for inclusion are like pushing water uphill, you’ll find her perspectives both grounding and galvanising. --- # Practical Insights to Revitalise Inclusion and Wellbeing How do we start bridging the chasms—cultural and personal—that hinder our collective growth and vibrancy? Here are some actionable lessons from our conversation: 1. **Rediscover the Power of Self-Awareness** Self-awareness is the first step in any renewal, whether physical, emotional, or professional. Dariya urges us to reflect on our values, passions, and talents—not simply as individuals, but as collaborative contributors to our organisational communities. If you want to foster inclusion, start by knowing yourself. 2. **Challenge Your Comfort Zone** It’s tempting to hunker down in the familiar—whether that’s a habitual food choice or a well-worn social group. But, as discussed, “Nothing new is gonna happen in the known… If you’re not happy with your life right now, it’s gonna come from the unknown, something you've never tried.” This speaks to organisational habits too: real DEI change rarely comes from rehashing what already exists. 3. **Integrate Holistic Health into Workplace Practices** Dariya’s work centres on Vibe Insight, an emerging platform advocating complementary therapies alongside Western medicine—supporting staff not just through reactive care, but proactive wellbeing. Simple actions—regular outdoor breaks, mindfulness moments before meetings, genuine curiosity about one another’s backgrounds—lay the groundwork for a more inclusive atmosphere. 4. **Practice Personal Accountability and Empathy** Taking responsibility for how we show up—rather than passing blame or hiding behind labels—is vital. Dariya’s experience moving between cultures, learning languages, and embracing neurodiversity reminds us that belonging is an active, ongoing negotiation. HR and D&I professionals can model this mindset, encouraging teams to take ownership of both their learning and their emotional impact. 5. **Build Community, Not Competition** Modern society often leaves us frazzled—balancing work, family, and relentless stresses—but community is both an antidote and a strategy. We touched on the loss of neighbourhood support, the growing culture of competition, and why rekindling collaborative environments is foundational for wellbeing and inclusion. --- ## Watch the Audiogram: A Moment to Reflect Curious what it looks like when theory meets genuine vulnerability? ## Raising Vibrations Together: The Science—and Soul—of True Inclusion “Who am I, really? Not defined by nationality, category, or any prescribed badge, but as a citizen of planet Earth—embracing everything and everyone.” That conviction, hard-won over years of navigating cultures and continents, is more than just a mantra for me; it’s the centre of gravity for how I approach work, relationships, and the increasingly complex puzzle of wellbeing in modern life. This clarity didn’t drop from the sky fully formed. It emerged through lived experience—half a lifetime spent journeying from the far east of Russia to Germany and then to Glasgow, absorbing not just new languages and customs but fresh perspectives on belonging, authenticity, and health. Those transitions forced me to interrogate at every step: What does it truly mean to belong? What constitutes real connection and inclusion? And perhaps most provocatively—how do we heal and thrive in an accelerating world that often pulls us apart? Recently, I had the privilege of unpacking these questions—and plenty more—in an exhilarating conversation hosted by [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) on the Inclusion Bites Podcast. If you know anything about this platform, you’ll know Joanne is renowned for her ability to ignite challenging, authentic dialogues on inclusive culture. Founder of SEE Change Happen and an influential force in the DEI space, Joanne blends sharp analysis with lived empathy and a relentless drive for positive disruption. More than [INSERT_VIEW_COUNT] people have already watched our interview on YouTube, with many more tuning in via Spotify and Apple Podcasts. If this conversation sparks something for you—questions, pushback, or agreement—I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. I read every one. ### The True Cost of Borders—And the Power of Belonging My own story begins on the shorelines near Japan and Korea, in Vladivostok, where I spent the first twenty years of my life before venturing to Germany and eventually settling in Scotland. If there’s one thing that travel forcibly teaches, it’s that our concept of “home” is both fragile and deeply dynamic. Try moving 10,000 miles and see what remains: you carry your roots, your culture, your memories. But you also realise, as [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) pointed out, that “life’s too short really, to put these artificial boundaries on yourself... It’s nice to escape that definition.” It’s a sentiment I wholeheartedly share. At twenty, arriving in Munich with little more than a suitcase, I gravitated at first to others like me—fellow Eastern Europeans seeking the comfort of a shared tongue and familiar customs. It was a safety bubble, a way of mitigating cultural shock. But very soon I confronted an uncomfortable truth: safety bubbles, left unchecked, become prisons. So I pushed through, immersing myself with a wild, multicultural group of students from every corner of the globe—Japan, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, the States. We’d cheer for the German football team together, regardless of nationality, because we belonged to something deeper than a flag—a community built on presence, curiosity, and kindness. Ultimately, these lessons followed me to Scotland, where the challenge of “integration” took on new urgency. The first months were bewildering—a Glaswegian accent can feel like its own cryptographic puzzle! But each time I risked discomfort, whether learning the language or plunging into local culture, I found greater freedom. As I shared with [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A), “I kind of don’t consider myself to belong to any race or nationality. I’m just thinking of myself as a citizen of planet Earth. Literally—embracing everything and everyone.” But here’s the pattern recognition: belonging isn’t passive, and it isn’t just about absorbing from the host culture. It’s an act of courageous co-creation, where each step outside your comfort zone is also a step towards genuine community. ### Why We’re Sicker Than Ever—And What We Must Do About It Disconnection breeds disease, and nowhere is that more visible than in the crisis engulfing wellbeing in the West. The stats are unforgiving—70% of UK adults on prescribed drugs, staggering rates of processed food consumption, and a cultural drift towards convenience that substitutes true nourishment for a deceptive sense of ease. “We’ve trapped ourselves,” [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) reflected, “working all hours, juggling jobs, running businesses... We no longer have the luxury my parents had, where one could stay home and raise the children.” The resultant stress, the breakdown of communal support, the surrender to fast foods and constant cortisol—all these underscore not just a health epidemic but a profound existential misalignment. My work alongside my fiancé in launching Vibe Insight is a direct response to this crisis. Vibe Insight isn’t just a business—it’s a platform designed to educate, connect, and empower people to reclaim agency over their own health, physically and spiritually. We spotlight holistic ideas, complementary therapies, and actionable self-help strategies for everything from neurodiversity, hypertension, and Parkinson’s to chronic stress and burnout. But deeper still, our mission is to foster a new community—one grounded in love, kindness, compassion, and gratitude, where authenticity isn’t just celebrated but demanded. “Everyone to be included and celebrated and support each other,” as I described to [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A), “not just labelled or isolated.” If you want to understand what triggers change in a human system, look to where connection is strongest—and where agency flourishes. ### The Science (and Art) of Raising Vibrations My own transformation—from battling crippling anxiety and panic attacks to living vibrantly—hasn’t come from a single pill or protocol. Instead, I’ve leaned into quantum physics, epigenetics, and the principle that “everything is energy, frequency, and vibration.” Here’s the radical reframe: as far as physics is concerned, we are 99.99999% empty space. We are not fixed matter—we are fields of possibility. Imagine walking into a room and feeling depleted or energised. That’s not just intuition—quantum physics verifies that these exchanges of energy are real, measurable, and consequential. Each atom in your body contains the information of the universe itself. The Matrix analogy is instructive: when we tune in, we access capacities far beyond what culture tells us is possible. This is why Vibe Insight weaves together holistic health and quantum principles. If our environment, mindset, and interconnectedness literally shape gene expression (as epigenetics shows), then nothing about our wellness is predetermined. Cancer is increasingly understood, not simply as a genetic disease, but as deeply metabolic—shaped by choice, environment, and belief. But choice is uncomfortable. As [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) challenged: “We’re quite lazy, we’re quite habitual. We’ve got sucked into this lifestyle... until something happens—a crossroads, a diagnosis or something that nudges us into waking up.” I refuse to believe our trajectory is fixed by past trauma or inherited limitations. Hard as it is, we must stand up to the comfort zone and ask: “Do you want to suffer for the rest of your life by being in this comfortable zone?” If you don’t, then the only place transformation happens is in the unknown—in the willingness to try something new, to audit your life, and to step forward with curiosity. ### Neurodiversity, Trauma, and the Challenge of True Inclusion The most acute case studies of belonging and wellbeing are often found among those labelled as “neurodiverse”. The current dialogue around neurodiversity is valuable, yet frequently myopic—too often used as an excuse rather than a pathway for agency. There’s a risk, as I’ve observed and discussed with [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A), of using neurodiversity as a shield rather than an invitation to deeper self-understanding. I’ve often shared, “Because I’m neurodiverse myself—I absolutely cannot process numbers. Talk to me about numbers and it’s like Chinese to me. But that doesn’t mean I’m a victim—it means I adapt, find tools, and understand my patterns.” The point is, everyone must learn their own story, not hide behind a diagnosis. The real work begins with self-love, recognition, and the pursuit of becoming the healthiest, kindest version of oneself. That reverberates outward, building a more inclusive community not by compliance, but by transformation. Another under-discussed theme is trauma-driven confusion around identity and sexual orientation. Sometimes, deep suffering and past wounds shape our choices more than DNA or destiny. It’s a delicate topic, demanding compassion and fierce self-inquiry. My own journey—releasing shame, facing pain, and rebuilding my relationship to sex—taught me that self-awareness and healing are keys to authentic living. We are not simply our pasts; we are creators of our narrative. As Joanne asserted, “Each of us has a personal responsibility for how we show up in the world.” Equity matters, but it cannot replace agency. We need to navigate together—to build a “common language, common ground, common perception”—not push all responsibility onto society. Without resilience, without the skills of self-regulation and self-awareness, we stagnate—unable to truly belong, unable to heal. ### Healing Is a Personal (and Collective) Practice So how do you begin? If you’re asking “Where do I start?”—especially if you’re crossing midlife and want to thrive for decades to come—here’s the playbook I've discovered through personal struggle and professional experimentation: Audit everything: body, mind, and soul. What are you consuming? What are your values, passions, and talents? Cook from scratch when you can—it’s meditative, creative, an act of service to self. Don’t be frightened of nature; the Oxford Dictionary is wrong to position us as separate from it. Get your feet on the earth, even if only for ten minutes. Challenge the myth about the sun being harmful; a little exposure is restorative. Cut down alcohol—the science is clear, every drop is a toxin. Prioritise relaxation. If meditation feels impossible, start with something accessible—birdsong, the rolling waves, a walk in the woods. Creativity isn’t optional; it’s how humans heal and connect. Crucially, confront your demons, old traumas, and unresolved pain. The work is hard, but on the other side is freedom. As I shared in the podcast, “I was on antidepressants for twenty years. I battled severe anxiety, calling ambulances so I could be injected with something just to calm down. But once I understood—the power is within. You are an absolutely unlimited human being. You can be happy. It’s really your choice.” Mindset matters. News, gossip, and negativity are toxic. If you cannot change a problem directly, stop giving it your energy. Rethink your patterns, reclaim your agency—because every system, whether a body or a community, is shaped most profoundly by its vibrational core. ### Drift, Loss, and Rebirth—The Art of Letting Go It’s worth addressing the sometimes painful process of social evolution. Whether family or friends, relationships are often tested as we grow more authentic. Some people drift out of our lives; some bonds dissolve as their utility fades. [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A) captured it precisely: “We have to let go of the prisoners of our beliefs. When I changed my life, I lost people. When I say lost, we drifted apart. We no longer had the thing in common that once held us together.” Allowing yourself to move on, to seek “chosen family” rather than remain shackled to biological bonds, is not betrayal—it’s necessity. Authentic connection cannot be forced, and resilience comes from understanding that every ending is also a beginning. The hardest ties to loosen are often family. These are chemically and energetically bonded from early childhood, yet they can perpetuate toxic patterns, limiting beliefs, and emotional pain. Unlike friendships, which evolve and stretch, familial roles are static: parents forever see us as “the child,” siblings as whatever our role once was. Sometimes, we’re able to transform these bonds; more often, we must learn to forgive, release, and build new networks of support. ### Bringing It Together: A World Waiting to Be Healed What’s the ultimate pattern recognition? It’s the radical notion—scientific, spiritual, and practical—that at the quantum level, “we are all one.” Whether you prefer the language of energy fields, DNA blueprints, or community connection, this perspective reframes everything from trauma recovery to international conflict. Borders, labels, roles—the things we cling to for identity and meaning—are, in the end, illusions. I’ve been hated, bullied, and dismissed at various points in my life—told that my name didn’t exist by teachers, dismissed as “thick” or “stupid” by colleagues. I forgive them all, not for their sake but for my own peace. “Everyone is just another version of me,” I reminded [Joanne Lockwood](/speakers/A). “I cannot get angry at you because you’re just another version of me. I will accept you the way you are... If the people who hurt me will come over and say, ‘Daria, I need help,’ I’ll help them—not to prove a point, but because that’s the world I want to see.” And so, as I step into my own next chapter—building Vibe Insight, nurturing authentic communities, and sharing the science and soul of wellbeing—I remain fiercely optimistic. The world is messy, turbulent, imperfect. But I believe we’re moving into a golden age, one where agency, healing, and love are not just private matters, but the currency of a thriving society. If you’ve read this far, know that it’s not just my story—it’s yours as well. Every person you meet is a doorway to your own growth, every challenge a crucible for awakening. The world we’re co-creating won’t be built at arm’s length; it asks for your full presence, your curiosity, your willingness to raise the vibration—together. Would you like to keep this conversation going? Drop your thoughts below—I read every comment. And if you’re seeking guidance, support, or simply a space to be heard, connect with me via Instagram or LinkedIn, or cheque out Vibe Insight. I won’t show you the way—but with compassion, I’ll help you find your own. Here’s to inclusion—not as an outcome, but as a living, breathing force that can change everything.

[**Title** Raising Vibrations Together] [**Synopsis** Episode 189 — “Raising Vibrations Together” draws on conversations about integration, self-discovery, and belonging from Glasgow to Vladivostok. Grounded in quantum connection, compassion, and personal responsibility, the lyrics trace the journey from labels and isolation towards unity and healing. With empowering female vocals and a warm acoustic-indie pop vibe, it transforms vulnerability into an anthem of togetherness and hope.] [**Vibe** Soft indie pop meets acoustic country, gentle driving percussion, shimmering guitars, and atmospheric pads. Dynamic female vocals shift from reflective to resolute. Verses are subtle and intimate; the chorus swells confidently with layered harmonies. Instrumental sections echo with delicate fingerpicking and gentle builds, fading out with hopeful resonance.] **Lyrics** [Verse 1] Crossed oceans, broke the lines on old maps, Roots untangled, where the world overlaps. Searched for shelter in borrowed tongues, Found myself when I answered, “where are you from?” [Instrumental — gentle fingerpicked acoustic guitar, atmospheric pads] [Verse 2] Held too tightly to stories and names, Chasing safety in familiar frames. Integration came in waves, not wars — Every truth shapes who we are. [Pre-Chorus] Raise your voice, let it break the silence, We are written out of fragments, Every difference, every scar Is proof we made it this far. [Chorus] Raising vibrations together, Echoes in open rooms, Strangers and sisters tethered By kindness that we choose. You are the light, you are the space, No walls between, no need to chase. Raising vibrations, Unfolding grace. [Instrumental — steady drums, uplift in guitar, light percussion] [Verse 3] We stitched new meaning into days, Put the past down, found new ways. Let go labels that don’t fit, Rewrote belonging, bit by bit. [Bridge] If every atom holds the story, If every hurt can turn to glory, Let’s build a home with open doors Across the lines, across old wars. [Instrumental fade — swelling harmonies, gentle piano under warm guitar] [Final Chorus (Lifted)] Raising vibrations together, Louder than fear, softer than stone. With the heart’s quiet power We’re rewriting what’s known. You are the light, you are the space, Nothing divides what kindness creates. Raising vibrations, We’ll find our place. [End Instrumental — slow, hopeful fade-out. Atmospheric pads linger, leaving a sense of unity.]
