It was a deeply personal conversation that took us on a journey through my life's challenges and triumphs, focusing on the mission that has become an integral part of who I am today.
To say that it was just another podcast interview would be an understatement. It was an opportunity to lay bare my experiences with microaggressions in the car industry, where traditions often stand firm, and conventions are slow to evolve. On the podcast, I opened up about my personal quest to challenge these established notions of masculinity and expectations—sharing my identity and advocating for a safe space for LGBT individuals like myself within a sphere that's not always known for its openness or inclusivity.
Joanne, ever the insightful host, brought to the conversation her sharp understanding of how deep-rooted organisational cultures can resist change. She shared how organisations often struggle to adjust their ways despite having diversity and inclusion programs in place.
