🎞️ Clipfinder: Quotes, Hooks, & Timestamps
The Accidental Brand: "And when the cards arrived, I was like, oh my God, I can't return them. What do I do? And so I handed them out, and it was the first year I made full time income as a freelancer. And I was like, you know what? People are either going to laugh or they're going to make fun of me or they're going to love it. And no matter what, they won't forget."
The Evolution of Professional Blogging: "And when blogging really became a thing, in about 2009, I bought the domain famous ashleygrant.com and I started working for Metro Mix, which was an affiliate of the Channel Ten news station."
Content Writing Philosophy: "Unless it's your story that you're writing about, you cannot make it about you. You have to speak to your audience. Because if you're talking about, oh, I me, that's all about me, every single time you're writing a piece of content, you need to be thinking, what is in it for them? What isn't it for your reader? Because if you're writing about yourself, then it's very clear that you don't care about what they want."
Impact of Google's Helpful Content Update: "That's one of the reasons that the Google helpful content update killed so many recipe blogs, right? Is because it wasn't helpful. You weren't giving them the actual answer they came there for."
The Future of Content Creation: "I think that what we're going to see a lot more is people trying to connect more with their audiences. They're not going to write these generic pieces that just answer the question. They want more than that, though. They do want the question answered."
The Power of Personal Story in Branding: "I think that with personal branding, it needs to be, again, not just about you, but also your story, because that's one thing that nobody can replicate. Not any AI, not any person."
Content Marketing Insights: "Of the clients I work with, the ones that are doing the best and hitting it out of the park with their content are the ones that aren't trying to make the sale. And I know that sounds counterintuitive because most of the time all you're thinking about in business is, well, how do I move the needle? How do I make more money? But if you're caring more about the transaction than the person who's buying it, you've already lost them."
The Value of Streamlined Solutions: "I loved the fact that you solved a problem and you didn't sugarcoat it, you didn't make it all crazy, didn't have a bunch of content that was talking about, oh, this is why you need to buy it. It was just, this is the solution. Go buy it. It just was very easy to understand."
Efficient Content Creation: "Take the amazing piece of long form content you created, whether it be a YouTube video or a Facebook live, or heck, even a meeting you had internally with your own people, put it into a program, and then spit out some awesome content that you can then turn into other pieces of digestible content."
The Authenticity of AI-Generated Content: "Absolutely. The biggest reason is it's your content, it's your words, it's your voice. And so if you go to a chat GPT or a clod or a word hero or whatever your favorite AI tool is, if you're just asking it to spit out something random, it's going to spit out something generic."

New Idea
Concept: Repurposing Existing Content Using AI
Storytelling Approach: The concept of repurposing existing content through AI emphasizes the utilization of authentic storytelling. Instead of relying on generic AI-generated content, the focus is on leveraging one's own content, maintaining authenticity, and preserving the original voice and expertise. This is highlighted by the emphasis on the importance of personal stories and unique perspectives to create engaging and relatable content.
Content Authenticity: The discussion also focuses on the drawbacks of generic AI content. It emphasizes that when content is merely generated by AI without personal insights or experiences, it can feel less authentic, potentially resembling spam and lacking the genuine connection that resonates with audiences.
Value of Personal Experience: The conversation underscores the significance of personal experience and genuine emotions in written content. It explores the idea that AI-generated content may not capture the depth of personal experiences or provide the relatability and emotional resonance that genuine, human-authored content can deliver.
In conclusion, the concept of repurposing existing content using AI revolves around the preservation of authenticity, personal storytelling, and the delivery of content that reflects genuine experiences and emotions, standing in contrast to generic AI-generated materials.

Mindsets
If you're looking to enhance your writing skills and create more impactful content, here are three mindset shifts that can transform your approach:
💭 Shift your focus from self-promotion to audience value. Make it your priority to understand and address your readers' needs and interests. By embracing this shift, your content will naturally resonate more with your audience, leading to increased engagement and trust.
💭 Embrace a continuous learning mindset. Instead of fixating solely on producing content, adopt a learner’s mentality and seek to uncover new insights and perspectives. Every piece of content you create is an opportunity to expand your knowledge and offer fresh perspectives.
💭 Embrace discomfort as a catalyst for growth. Similar to refining a new skill, the writing process can feel daunting at times. Instead of shying away from challenges or negative feedback, view them as opportunities to refine your craft and develop a deeper connection with your audience.
My upcoming workshop "Content Creation Mastery: Elevating Your Writing Skills" will delve deeper into these mindset shifts and offer practical techniques for enhancing your content creation abilities!
Stay tuned for more details on how you can join me on this journey towards content creation mastery!
Future State, 6 reasons post
🚀 Desired Outcome: Transform LinkedIn into an end-to-end GTM platform, revolutionizing demand generation and converting it into revenue.
Previous State:
LinkedIn, a powerful platform, has been instrumental for engagement and brand recognition, but it's currently underutilized for full-scale demand creation and conversion. Manual processes are required to fully leverage LinkedIn's potential for spectacular growth. Traditional GTM processes are less effective, with slow conversion funnels and minimal ability to track, prioritize, and convert demand into revenue.
Even Better Future State:
A new GTM model will be characterized by an engaged LinkedIn audience, peer-to-peer decision-maker interaction, and a compressed conversion funnel that accelerates lead qualification, outreach, and conversion. Companies will effortlessly generate qualified leads, enhance brand recognition, and streamline GTM processes without costly external tools or teams.
Recommendations:
Engagement Scoring and ICP Match: Implement an engagement scoring system for posts and companies’ top engagers. Allow users to sort contacts by engagement score and Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) match.
Target Account Engagement: Enable users to define ICP and upload a target account list, leveraging it to drive targeted content engagement.
CRM Integration: Facilitate the synchronization of best engagers with the user’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software of choice.
Meeting Scheduling: Provide a native scheduling app or integrate with popular calendar apps, allowing best engagers to schedule meetings on users’ calendars.
Enhanced Forms and Surveys: Develop a better way to use LinkedIn forms for creating signup lists or micro-surveys from the engaged audience.
Dashboard and Metrics: Introduce a comprehensive dashboard displaying audience expansion, post performance, engagement metrics, conversion metrics, pipeline status, scheduled meetings, and revenue generated from LinkedIn-led growth.
💬 Share Your Insights:

Ramon Berrios:
Hello! We've got Ashley with us today. Ashley is amazing at creating content and she's done some great work that I really admire. She's written for GoDaddy and creates content for a site called RSS.com, which is big in the podcast world. So Ashley, tell us about yourself and what you're working on.
Ashley Grant:
Thanks! So, the nickname "famous Ashley Grant" came from this guy Ron who would see me at events and one day called me that. It kind of stuck as a joke, but then I accidentally printed it on my business cards. I decided to just go with it, and it actually helped my freelance business take off. I thought, at least people will remember me!
Ramon Berrios:
Cool! Can you tell us how you started freelancing full-time?
Ashley Grant:
Sure! I've been writing since 2007, starting with a piece about saving money on Valentine's Day. When I first got paid for writing about a local restaurant, I was hooked. Blogging became big around 2009, and that's when I truly started writing online professionally. I've been writing to help businesses with their content since 2014.
Ramon Berrios:
Writing for newspapers, magazines, and business content are different. Which do you like best?
Ashley Grant:
I don't have a favorite. Every day is different, which I love. One day I could be writing about podcasting, another day about running, etc. It's always changing.
Blaine:
What makes a great piece of content, in your opinion?
Ashley Grant:
Make the content about your readers, not yourself. Always think about what's in it for them. That's what makes content good and what draws people in.
Ramon Berrios:
How do you make your writing good for both readers and SEO without adding too much unnecessary stuff just to rank in search engines?
Ashley Grant:
It's tough, but you should start with the important information. People want answers fast. Some writers now summarize everything at the top, so if someone's in a hurry, they get what they need quickly. Also, breaking down your writing into short, punchy sections helps for easy reading.
Blaine:
With all the changes Google's making, how do you see AI affecting writing for blogs?
Ashley Grant:
The key is to provide value. Tell a story, give answers up front, and connect with your audience on a personal level. Even though AI speeds things up, it can't replace real stories and experiences that resonate with readers.
Blaine:
How can someone balance between offering value and generating traffic?
Ashley Grant:
By focusing more on the story and the why behind the content. Share expert opinions in addition to your own insights, making it more authentic and engaging.
Ramon Berrios:
Any advice for individuals working on a personal brand? How can they approach their writing?
Ashley Grant:
Tell your story often. New people might not have heard it before. Keep sharing your journey and the reasons behind what you do, making your content relatable.
Ramon Berrios:
What about businesses? How should they approach their content?
Ashley Grant:
Businesses that focus on user needs rather than pushing sales are more successful with content. Show how your product solves problems and helps customers.
Blaine:
Where can people find you?
Ashley Grant:
You can find me by searching "famous Ashley Grant" pretty much everywhere!

The Rule, The Process, Keys to Success
Ashley Grant is a glowing testament to the art of effective narrative and the importance of connecting with your audience.
When it comes to writing and content creation, Ashley lives by a critical rule – it’s never about you. Instead, it should always be centered around your audience and their needs. This rule has defined much of Ashley's career and serves as a guiding principle for her success in the writing world.
For Ashley, the process begins with telling a compelling story but never losing sight of the reader's intent. It starts with the early days of writing for publications like USF Oracle and St. Pete Times, blending into her work with digital platforms. At each step, Ashley makes sure every word speaks directly to her audience's interests and needs.
Today's writing landscape, especially with the advent of SEO and AI, demands a delicate balance. Ashley emphasizes that effective writing must harmonize between telling an engaging story and ensuring it is accessible and discoverable through search engines. It’s a hard-fought balance, but one that Ashley achieves by first addressing the reader's query upfront and adding the necessary details afterward.
The key to broader success in the ever-evolving field of content creation, according to Ashley, is capturing authentic voice and experience. It’s about leveraging your personal story to build a deeper connection with your audience. Much like a musician relays personal emotions through their art, a writer should paint vivid experiences that resonate.
Ramon Berrios nails it when he highlights that the most successful content blends the founder's personal story with the company's mission. Transparency and relatability draw readers in, keeping the content fresh and engaging.
Even as SEO trends shift and AI tools become more prevalent, the heart of excellent content remains its authenticity and value to the reader. Ashley’s blend of personal narrative and audience focus is not just a strategy; it's the essence of building a lasting connection in a digital age.
Just like Ashley says, don’t make it about you. Serve your audience with genuine, value-driven content, and success will follow naturally.
