Peter Schroeder
00:01:33 - 00:01:38
Okay. Thank you so much for having me. That was quite, an intro there. I'm all blushing over here.
Speaker B
00:01:39 - 00:02:09
You're very welcome. I I always like to think of myself as the personal hype man of every single guest that comes on, and I want them to be presented as I wanna be presented one day when I go on stage or something like that with all this, like, like, blustering things. So I come on and I'm all humble. You know? But also it puts you in a position to deliver. So it's kind of like a fair trade. I I blow I give you all this hype. You're gonna deliver, obviously. But Peter, thank you so much for being here.
Peter Schroeder
00:02:10 - 00:02:11
Thank you so much, Jaime. So,
Speaker B
00:02:14 - 00:02:28
let's start with the biggest question. Why did you become a digital entrepreneur? What decided? What happened? Was the plane crash? Was it you're like, I conquered the DJ world of DJ. Now let's conquer the world of business. Like, why did you become an entrepreneur?
Peter Schroeder
00:02:28 - 00:02:59
I don't think I became an entrepreneur. I think it's just, so deep in me. It's just what what I am. I I never really think about making money or or stuff like that. I it's just more about, I do things that I enjoy doing. And, the more I can do of that, the better. And and that goes all the way back to when I was a kid. I was like 10 years old, when I started, you know, doing doing a little bit of business and and and and I eventually started my first company when I was 14, sold it when I was 18.
Peter Schroeder
00:02:59 - 00:03:11
So it's my whole life has just been, you know, you know, just trying to do what I think is fun. And the best way you can do that is if you're your own boss, I guess. So so so that's really more more of what why.
Speaker B
00:03:12 - 00:03:20
You just wanna be your own boss to do whatever you want. You don't want anybody telling you what to do. Yeah. So in essence, be be a child forever.
Peter Schroeder
00:03:20 - 00:03:25
Yeah. Pretty much. Yeah. I mean Wow. I I'm sure my wife will say that. Yes.
Speaker B
00:03:26 - 00:03:51
Look. I I I already admire it. I look at it like you get to play all day long while you build stuff that you want to so that people pay you to do what you love. I think that's the ultimate job, and it looks like you you've done it. You succeeded at least as a DJ getting all those accolades. How did you fall into the world of DJ? Like, was it just like, hey, I wanna learn and then all of a sudden, holy shit, I have this career?
Peter Schroeder
00:03:52 - 00:04:27
No. It was it was I actually remember very clearly when I found out that I wanted to do it. I was probably 9 years old and I saw a, DJ at a school party, like, some like a school dance kind of thing. Mhmm. And I just saw this guy playing music and and being able to, give people a good time and make them happy just by playing songs for them. That was awesome. You know? And and, you know, he was just there and he could play whatever song and all of a sudden people would go bonkers and that was just so cool to me. And then I just started playing tune for my my friend's birthday parties with 2 ghetto blasters and some cassette tapes and stuff like that.
Peter Schroeder
00:04:27 - 00:04:35
And, eventually, I was old enough to to start playing at a at a local bar. And then from there on, it kinda just went one step by the other. You know?
Speaker B
00:04:35 - 00:04:48
Oh, it's awesome. And have you learned any like, your your world your life as a DJ, has that influenced the business part of you and that world?
