Thank you so much for that kind introduction. Like Jennifer said, my name is Quinn Conyers. My pronouns are she and her, but I also answer to awesome and amazing. So if you see something in this presentation that you like or that you love, just know immediately after and duration of influence, I am accepting hugs, handshakes, and high fives. Now, like Jennifer said, this is from keynote to crowd connector. I how you, as a speaker, can increase your earnings as an emcee. So, for whatever reason, you are not supposed to be in this room. You're stuck with me now because this is a session that you're going to be in.

So let's go ahead and get this party started. Here's what I believe. I believe that if speakers want to increase their income, that there's a couple things that have to be done. More importantly, I believe that multiple streams of income are the only way to to elevate your earnings. Here's the reality of being a keynote speaker. Most people make the keynote speaking role king and queen. We put it on a pedestal. We buy keynote speakers gifts.

We do all the things to make sure that we can maximize and monetize who we are and what we do as a keynote speaker. But let me tell you something. There is more than one way to skin a speaking cat. And what I want to talk about today is how you can increase your earnings as an mc. Now, I'm just curious, by a show of hands, how many of you are already dabbling in emceeing? You're doing a couple of gigs here and there. All right, I like it. I love it. And how many of you have decided, like, listen, I want to be an emcee.
Quinn Conyers
00:01:40 - 00:02:01
This is what I'm going to do. I'm intentional about it. Okay? We got a few hands as well. You are also in the right place. But here's the thing. Being a great keynote speaker is amazing. But being an emcee, you have the infinite opportunity to earn what I call repeat revenue. Here's what I know for sure.

00:02:01 - 00:02:25
You can show up at a conference. There could be 500 people in the audience, or 5,000 if you like big crowds. You can rock their world. You can blow their mind. You can get evaluations that are off the roof. But guess what? Next year, Juliana, they're going to hire someone else, because that's how the industry goes. However, you can show up as an emcee, you can rock their world. You can blow their mind for one, two, or three days.

00:02:25 - 00:03:10
And when you are done, guess what they'll say? Can you come back next year. And that's one of the realities that I love about emceeing that keynote speakers are actually missing out on. So as we dive in today, I want you to be crystal clear. I want to serve you, I want to support you, I want to stretch your mind. I want you to understand that emceeing is not a second class citizen in the speaking industry. If you are interested in making this your main chick or your side chick, you're in the right place. Because I believe that MCing has undeservingly received the side chick role until today, until now. And what this room shows me is that more individuals like you and me have what it takes to monetize and maximize the MC role.

But we might not know how. Last time I checked, you can Google spring speaking coaches, you can Google people to teach you how to become a better storyteller. But I don't know where the clinics, the conferences and the organizations are if you want to be an emcee. So this is why I'm doing this. I'm doing this because I'm an advocate for this role. But more importantly, we've all been to a boring event that could have been up leveled if the right emcee was at the microphone. So what's going to happen today? First and foremost, I want you to determine and decide if adding MC is right for your speaking business. Because I'm going to show you what the difference is.
Quinn Conyers
00:03:49 - 00:04:45
Here's the thing. 10 times out of 10, if you're a great MC, you can be a compelling keynote speaker. But just because you are a captivating keynote speaker does not make you a great mc. They are similar, but they are not the same. All right, second, I'm going to talk to you about how do you verbalize the value of the MC role? And next I'm going to give you tips and techniques on how to offer emceeing as an upsell or a cross sell in what it is that you do. Next, I'm going to show you how to be intentional about showcasing your emceeing and your marketing and your sales efforts and how to create content that showcases your MC abilities and how to define your MC expertise. Is that okay with you? All right, perfect. So the big gap in, in the speaking industry, what is it? First and foremost, the speaking industry, period, is a $6.5 billion industry with a B.
