We are going to have so much fun in this module because in my opinion, overlays are the it factor for videos. And you will see why. But what is an overlay? An Ecom Live? An overlay is a graphic, text or image that appears on top of your video while you're recording or live streaming. So think of it as a sticker or a label that you place on top of your video to make it more engaging and professional. So we're going to go over the type of overlays that we can use here in ecamm. The first overlay we're going to go over is the camera overlay. This that you see around my camera. Actually, this camera is a camera overlay.

Let me show you what I mean by this. Let's create a scene. You remember a scene from the previous module. So we're going to click here. And this is your. Your video feed is coming in. Of course you can add overlays on top of this video feed, but if you want to have it a little bit more flexible and customizable, the overlay is where it's at. So we're going to go to this scene right here.

What I'm going to do is again, remember this from the video. In what is ECAMM Live, we're going to click on Source and that is the menu up here. ECAMM Live, we're gonna click on Source and then we're going to select blank. And here, now we have a blank screen so that you can add whatever you would like. In this case, I'm going to add a camera overlay. Camera overlay is right down here. We're gonna click it and this camera will appear. I was playing around with it earlier, so we have some designs in here.

But let me show you how I did this. First of all, let's talk about the customization levels for your camera overlay. We're going to click on this pencil and we're going to go to shape. Right now I have it as custom. And what custom means is that I can just play with it, right? It's just really, really flexible. I can play with it. But if you want it more, just like, okay, I just want it. I just want it wide.

I don't want to get super fancy. I just want it wide. Then you can just have it wide and in wide. Whenever it will retain is its restrictions, right? So it will stay. It's not going to go like we were doing before with custom, right? It's just going to stay because it is at that Ratio. So now let's go back to the pencil and we're gonna select classic is the same thing, right? But it's in the 4 by 3 format. And then we're gonna go to, you have a square, you have circle, you have a squircle. And also you have tall format.

And this tall format, you can use it obviously for your vertical live streamings, but you can also use it for a presentation or something like that. So let's say I wanted to have a camera on a presentation. You can just have your slide right here. And when I say slide in this case, I mean a slide, right? You're going to have a slide right here and then you can have your camera here. Right. So this, right now, this is a camera overlay. So again we click here. And if I wanted to make it custom so that I am able to drag it, then I can do that.

Right. I love custom, I just love that feature. But let's click here and let's talk about how I added these borders around the camera overlay. And this is right here I'm going to click on the pencil and under border I'm going to click. And in here you have these options, you have none, you have color, you have the gradient, or you have motion. And that's what I had. And motion is what allows you see, let me see if I get out of live demo mode, see if you can see it a little bit better. Right, so you see motion around the, the border, right? And in here you can change the colors, you can customize it as much as you would like to.
