Welcome back to another episode of Invest in Yourself, the digital entrepreneur podcast special series for the BrandUp Summit in Montreal. I am here with Sabine, an amazing entrepreneur that I've had the opportunity to chat with multiple times, and she's been gracious enough to come onto the podcast and talk about herself. So I'm gonna ask you, Sabine, please, a quick introduction about who you are and what you do.
Sabah Hussain
00:00:24 - 00:00:56
Thank you, Phil, first of all, having me here. And, my name is Saba Hassan. I go with the name Saba, but I am also known as Sabina Hassan because that's my officially and legal name on papers. But most of the crowd knows me knows me as Saba. I'm an entrepreneur. I run 5 businesses, and I'm a full time mom. I also have a women's organization. I took it over as a legacy from my mother, and I am a business psychologist.
Speaker A
00:00:57 - 00:01:00
Oh, you're just a, you know, renaissance woman, if you will.
Sabah Hussain
00:01:00 - 00:01:02
Yes. I you can say so.
Speaker A
00:01:02 - 00:01:10
I love that. So we're gonna jump right into it. I wanna know what inspired you to start your brand, and what was your initial vision for this brand?
Sabah Hussain
00:01:11 - 00:02:20
So my brand, I have multiple brands. So today, I'm gonna speak about the Federation of Women Empowerment and Support, which is also known as the short form is obviously Foes, foes dot org. This was I got this inspiration from of her work, inspired me to carry on this vision that she had, which became my vision eventually after she passed away, to help women bring together women from all backgrounds, all walks of lives, to come forward together and support them and bring everything that they need in their support. So my vision came from there. It started off she started off the organization in support of women education. And I, being a business person, I took it over to the women entrepreneurs side.

00:02:21 - 00:02:43
I love that. And with this kind of rebranding from doing education to or or empowerment to the business world, what what strategies have been the most effective for you in building up this brand so that it's now more for more power to bring women more power, if you will?
Sabah Hussain
00:02:44 - 00:03:21
Strategies, I would say just 2 things. Consistency in whatever I do and my passion, I just bring it out. I I resonate with the crowd. I go out. I go with 1 on 1 connections with them. I I do a lot of workshops, events, retreats, everything that I could to bring women together, but the only strategy I would say I would suggest and I use is that has helped me in the in the brand awareness is resonating with the audience and being consistently bringing value to the audience.
Speaker A
00:03:22 - 00:03:44
I love that. And bringing value is so important, for for client not not just clients, but for the, the audience to look at our our, our social media and our our, our brand, they get to understand us more. What are some of the challenges that you faced early in your career building this brand, and how did you overcome them?
Sabah Hussain
00:03:45 - 00:04:28
Challenges faced, I would say most of the challenges that I've faced were not from my side. They were from, the the public that I was serving, the audience that I was serving. And the biggest challenge was to come out and speak. To come and even believe in me. So the gaining trust was one of the challenges, I can say, and letting allowing people I mean, I'm saying people, I mean women because it's a very women focused, brand. Women are so hesitant to come out and trust you. And that was the biggest challenge I faced. That they to bring them out and to speak their heart their hearts out was the biggest challenge.
