My, my pleasure, Phil. It is so great to be here. I love the theme of your program and I'm really happy to talk to people about what does work with burnout because what most people do actually makes it worse. So I'm really glad to be here.
Phil Better 00:02:21 - 00:02:41
As a, as a recovering and burnout affected individual, I am glad to have you on here to get some more tip on how I can, you know, improve from the burnout and break through. But I'm going to go way back to the beginning. Why? Why did you become an entrepreneur? What made you decide first to start that agency way back when?
Scott Anderson 00:02:43 - 00:03:23
You know, I've always been entrepreneurial and I come by it honestly. I guess I come from many generations of entrepreneurs and in the culture of our little family. Anyway, Entrepreneurship seemed like a logical, normal thing to do because my, my father, my uncles, my grandfathers were all entrepreneurs one way or the other. And it was so. It wasn't a strange thing. It would have been strange if I didn't go in that direction. And you know, the other part of it later in life was that I. I began to see that being an employee had always been pitched to me as a way of having security.
Scott Anderson 00:03:23 - 00:03:37
But having been an employee a couple of times, I realized, wow, I have no security as an employee. And I think really, bottom line, Phil, I'm just not a good employee. That's the bottom line. I'm just not good at it.
Phil Better 00:03:37 - 00:04:23
Yeah, that seems to be a thorough threat. All the interviews I've had, whenever I ask this question, a large portion of my guests say they are horrible employees. Which makes sense because as an entrepreneur, you have that bug that if you see something that's not working, you want to fix it. But in a big corporation or even in some small businesses, that's not possible because you're just the employee. I want to. You started your agency obviously with the goal to be an agency to help people, help businesses, give people a place that they can work and give them a somewhat security that is often good employees. When did the burnout happen with that agency? And because it's a good story for entrepreneurs who want to start.
Scott Anderson 00:04:23 - 00:04:23
Sure.
Phil Better 00:04:23 - 00:04:29
Start a business that they can lead to burnout because we hear burnout for, for employees or mothers.
Scott Anderson 00:04:29 - 00:04:29
Sure.
Phil Better 00:04:29 - 00:04:35
Rare from entrepreneurs having that burnout. What do you do you want to just touch on what caused that?
