And those who are just listening to the recording will believe that. Here we go. So I want you to imagine something. You have just finished your favorite keynote and you were in the zone. You crushed it. You were getting a standing ovation. An ovation almost as big as what Christine got yesterday. That's how big it was.

That big. In fact, Christine is jealous of you. And then you go off the stage and the people mob you and they're saying, oh, that was amazing. We loved you. You changed my life. Business relationships. And you say, thank you, that's very kind. But you've been at NSA a long time, so you know not to leave it there, don't you? You ask that important follow up question.

So what was your biggest takeaway? What struck you the most? And then you cock your head and smile and look at them expectantly because what's about to come out of their mouth is the memorability moment. What they say is what's actually sticky. This is unaided recall. Now we know that there is another response that they could give you to that question and that's takeaways. Well, everything really. I mean, I don't even know what to say. I mean, because you were amazing. And when you hear that response, and we all have a little piece of our speaker's soul dies.

Because we know that our delivery was amazing, but our content was forgettable or worse, it was never remembered in the first place. That's what we are going to cover. That's why you're here. Or you knew there were free bananas, one of the two things here. So here's the hard truth. We are professionals and we are not just paid to speak. We are paid to be remembered.
