Oh, I'm so excited. So before we jump into everything, I wanna know why did you leave the corporate world for the crazy unpredictable world of entrepreneurship?
Catharine O'Leary
00:02:04 - 00:03:42
So it's it's a good question. And when I was, my my last corporate gig was with, Pepsi, and they went through a global reorg, which happens, and and my, position was made redundant. So it took some time, you know, to I hadn't stopped working since I was about you know, from 16 to then, and tried to figure out what I really, you know like I was just going from job to job to job, and and I wanted to take some time to figure out, was I doing what I wanted to? Was I was I actually, like, you know, successful? Like, I I checked all the boxes, making 6 figures, working with, you know, amazing corporations and so on, And I came up with some hard truths that, you know, like, I I was checking boxes, but I wasn't really all that happy. And so I I kind of and at the time, and I think because of this conversation I was having with myself, I spent about 8 months trying to find another corporate job, and I I I just I wasn't getting through to the to the finish line, and I think it was because I was maybe self sabotaging a little bit. Didn't really want to go back to corporate. Going back to corporate meant for me, from where I live, 3 hours a day, in the car commuting. So, I kinda I kinda got a taste of the sweet life of not commuting, while while I was looking for work, and then I decided never to go back. So I just kind of, I just decided that I I didn't want to to be on somebody else's schedule, to be honest.

I love that. I love that. Making your own schedule, making your own path. And I like how you said you you had hit all the boxes of success, And I love that because it is the societal success that we we grew up around the same period of time where it was like, go find a big company, get a good job there, stay the 25 years, and then, you know, retire. Like our our parents and grandparents did, but unfortunately, this modern society doesn't really allow us to have that because corporations are more pictured their bottom line versus their employees, life. So you you you worked for like, before we started, you told me that you worked for Apple when Steve Jobs was there, which is insane. I'm guessing you may or may not have had some interactions with mister Job himself. Are there any special
