Our guest has been working in the marketing, working in marketing for the past 2 decades. They currently run 2 marketing agency and is founder of a marketing app, Let's Go. They specialize in using educational video to create a comprehensive marketing strategy, not only for brands, but also focusing on businesses. Well, thanks for having me on through. I appreciate it.

Alright. So let's just get right into it. Like I like to do, let's get to the first question. Why did you become an entrepreneur, Marlon? What was it that sparked you into a journey into the world that is entrepreneurship?

So, Phil, I think I'd become an entrepreneur because I always thought I could do things better than everyone else. And I I had my own business, where I was working with family, and it was pretty easy to do do things my own way because, you know, the family let me do it. Okay. Then I actually, so then I ran that business myself, and it was it was okay. But then I left and became an employee for about 4 years. And during that time as an employee, I worked my way up, and I always thought I could do things better. And, at some point, I just had to say, well, you know, I'm gonna test and see if I can actually do it better, and, I've then started the businesses I'm in now. And quickly, I learned that I can't always do things better.

Because I'm not as not as good as I thought I was. But what I love about business is that you can have an idea, you can implement it, and you live or die based on your decisions. And when you when you flourish, it's amazing. And when things don't go well, it's terrible. But you know what? At least you have control of your life, and that's what I love about being an entrepreneur is that I have full control, and, I don't blame anyone for where I'm at. It's my responsibility, and that also means that I can get wherever I want in life and in business, and that's I think why I became an entrepreneur.

I love that. I I love that freedom and the fact that you pretty much have been born into entrepreneurship, from birth, but you understand the the the struggles of the 9 to 5 or having done it for just over a decade. Yeah. I wanna know in your marketing world, why you focus particularly on video? Like, what is it about video? What why do you think it's so important?

Well, I've I've actually, spent many, many years with Facebook ads. I'm actually amazing at Facebook ads. It's what I it's my expertise. But during the process of running so many Facebook ads and getting in front of people and generating leads and getting them to take action, I realized that video was really powerful. Not all the time, but it was really powerful in certain types of ads. And then about 8 years ago, I I you know, like, as a business owner, you kind of always wanna be noticed. Right? Because I thought, oh, I'll I'll record some videos, and then people will notice me. And then I'll be able to, you know, do amazing things.
