Thank you so much for having me, Phil. I'm so excited to talk with you. I'm

over the moon. When we first met to talk about you coming on the podcast, you blew me away with everything. I was like, oh my god. I can't wait. I was, like, clapping my hands afterwards. I was like a little child giddy. So I'm very excited to have you here. I know the audience is gonna take away a lot of stuff, but I have to start with my first question like always.

Why was it that you wanted to become an entrepreneur? You got a BA, you know, you got teaching, you could have gone into education and just had the fun title of being a a teacher, but you decided to become an, entrepreneur. Why is that?

So that was such a great question, Phil. And, you know, I had a wonderful job that I absolutely love, two wonderful jobs as the education coordinator for several public utilities here in Southern California, and I just loved doing that for fifteen years. And then I was ready to grow and take the next step. And I actually had an international fellowship, several, to study overseas, and I wanted to do I wanted to be the kind of international water and energy education person, you know? And what I discovered was actually, first of all, that what we are already doing here in Southern California is actually the best in the world. I couldn't find anything better than what we already had, So I needed to grow. And I was actually required by the terms of my fellowship to get a federal job when I got back. But I applied for, like, 45 federal jobs, and I was came back qualified at GS 14, GS 50. But there was always 200 people in line ahead of me and people who lived in Washington and people who were younger.
