It absolutely blew my mind. I mean, blew up my brain. Have you ever had this happen to you? You're sort of sitting there leisurely reading something, an article, a book, whatever it happens to be, and you come across this one sentence and it blows up your brain. Has that ever happened to you? Yeah, happened to me. Just a few weeks ago I was reading a book by one of my favorite authors and during that particular time I read this one sentence that just captivated me and all of a sudden created a metaphor for the work that I wanted to keep doing through the upcoming years. I'm thinking, oh my gosh, this metaphor is gonna translate through my next book. It's gonna translate into my NSA speech coming up. I mean, it just translates across all the research that I've been looking at.

And the sentence that I read was this author Timothy Keller said this. The entire universe is in a dance. I said, wow. Doesn't that exactly describe the relationship between an audience and a speaker? We're in an intimate dance relationship with our audience. If we want to think about how to move from information to inspiration, we need to recognize that it is a relationship where we have to catch, captivate and recaptivate them along the way. And let me share this with you. When we're able to do that, we're able to generate neurotransmitters in the body. I'm going to talk a little bit more about this that are really incredibly powerful to bond us together.

00:03:19 - 00:04:14
Speaking of bonding, my friends, how about we have a shared bonding moment? Would you be alright with that? I'd like for you to rise to your feet, my friends, as we talk about dancing. And let's do something that's really healthy for our brain. Maestro, hit it. Give yourselves a round of applause. Thank you. Hey, when we're talking about being in a dance relationship with our audience, I'm not suggesting that you do that. Unless of course, you're in front of a room full of highly inspired, brilliant, beautiful people who want to change the world. My question for you is, what if.

What if I could share with you three action tips that could help to transform the relationship you have with your audience? Would that be a good way for us to spend the rest of our time together? Awesome. Thank you for that. Let's go ahead and dive in. Our journey together today is going to touch on three major areas and three tips associated with those particular areas. The first thing we're going to do is we're going to talk about understanding the challenge of gatekeepers. Understanding the challenge of gatekeepers. Then we're going to transition to a conversation around the organizing principle of the brain. And we'll wrap our time up by talking about something you already know.
