Castmagic for Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your Castmagic library to Claude or ChatGPT and ask about anything you've recorded. The assistant searches your transcripts and the content Castmagic generated, then quotes it back with the recording it came from.

In Claude, open Customize › Connectors, find Castmagic and click Connect. Sign in to Castmagic and click Allow.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open Plugins, find Castmagic and click Connect. Sign in to Castmagic and click Allow.

Adding it by hand? The connector's address is https://app.castmagic.io/mcp. It signs in with OAuth; there's no key to paste.

You need a Castmagic account with an active plan, and an assistant plan that supports connectors: Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise, or ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise.

What it can and can't do

Read-only. It can search and read your library. It can't change, create or delete anything.
Only your account. It sees what your Castmagic account can see, in spaces on an active plan.
Only on request. It reads your library when the assistant calls one of the tools below to answer you.
Yours to switch off. Disconnect from Castmagic's Connect page or from the assistant's settings. Access stops at once.

Tools

Tool	What it does
Search Castmagic `search`	Searches transcripts, recordings and generated content across your spaces. Returns matching snippets with the recording they come from.
Fetch a document `fetch`	Returns the full text of a search result: a recording's transcript or one piece of generated content.
List spaces `list_spaces`	Lists your spaces (workspaces or shows) and their ids.
List recordings `list_recordings`	Lists recordings, newest first, optionally within one space or by words in the title.
Get transcript `get_transcript`	Returns the speaker-labelled transcript of one recording. Very long transcripts are shortened.
Get generated content `get_content`	Returns the content Castmagic generated for a recording: show notes, summaries, social posts, key quotes and more.
Connected account `profile`	Returns the name and email of the Castmagic account the connection is signed in as.

Every tool is read-only.

Privacy

When the assistant calls a tool, Castmagic returns the transcript passages, recording details and generated content that answer your request, and the assistant's provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) processes them under its own terms. Castmagic doesn't receive your conversations. The connection keeps an access token that you can revoke at any time by disconnecting. See the Castmagic privacy policy.
